Pam McGhee
STUDIO OWNER/ HEAD INSTRUCTOR | @POLEPHOENIX
Pam, known in the pole dance community as PolePhoenix, brings over a decade of experience to her lessons, celebrated for her dynamic and captivating style. She has competed at elite national development level, judged professionally, and coached some of the industry’s top athletes, establishing herself as one of the highest-level instructors in the UK.
With a strong background in high-level gymnastics, Pam has developed a deep understanding of biomechanics, which she passionately integrates into her teaching. She believes that anatomical awareness is the key to unlocking each dancer’s full potential, and this philosophy forms the foundation of her distinctive coaching approach.
Pam’s dedication to the pole industry extends far beyond the studio. She has taught workshops across the world, including throughout Europe, America, and Australia, and has featured at prestigious international events such as pole camp Cyprus, and Pole World Festival, and has featured as a guest instructor for the Pole destroyers online, inspiring dancers on a global scale. She is also the visionary founder of The British Pole Instructor Championships.
Pam teaches all levels of pole fitness, flow, heels and flexibility.
“ I found pole over 10 years ago during a period of my life where my self-confidence was at an all time low. Pole has taught me to be proud of my body and the things that it can achieve. I’ve built strength, flexibility and built a skill set that not only am I proud of for myself, I am even prouder to be able to pass all of this on to everyone who I have taught over the years. When I’m not in the studio you can usually find me walking my Pug Layla, or planning an adventure as I adore travelling”
Scarlett Hoadley
Beginner Pole Instructor | @scarlett_theashes
I began my pole journey over two and a half years ago as part of the University of Worcester Pole Fitness Society, where I first discovered my passion for the sport and the supportive community that comes with it. Since then, pole has become a huge part of my life—not just as a way to build strength and fitness, but also as a creative outlet and a source of confidence.
As I progressed, I naturally transitioned into teaching, where I found a real love for supporting others in their own pole journeys. Helping students build strength, confidence, and self-expression is incredibly rewarding, and continues to inspire my own development as an instructor.
I currently teach at a number of studios across the West Midlands, working with a wide range of abilities and creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyone feels comfortable to learn and challenge themselves. I hold my Xpert Pole Fitness Level 1 and 2 certifications, and I am currently working towards achieving Levels 3 and 4.
I am also first aid trained, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
I’m especially excited to be teaching in Worcester, bringing everything full circle back to where my own pole journey began, and to continue building a positive and encouraging community where others can thrive.
Amie Carter
Beginner Instructor/ Heels Instructor | @amie_theashes
Amie has been training in pole for over 8 years and fell in love with it very quickly.
She started her pole teaching career in 2021 where she taught beginners, higher beginners and handstands but took a break to work on her own skillset. It was during this time she developed a deep love of heels and all things tricks, kips and heels clacks.
Amie holds her Spin City certification & is currently working on obtaining her Essential Science of Heels qualification from Xpert.
Amie is extremely passionate about the technique of heels to ensure chorography not only looks amazing but it's technically on point too. Her classes are fun, inclusive, inspiring & motivating.
When Amie is not swinging around a pole she is working as a social media manager, building her own podcast & strength training at the gym. She is also a mum to her (almost) 18 year old daughter and 2 (slightly) overweight cats
Laura Ashford

Since then, Laura has continued to refine her skills by training at multiple studios across the UK, developing a versatile and well-rounded style. She has a particular love for elegant flow, pretty spin combinations and seamless transitions.
Having certified through XPert in February, Laura is excited to step into a professional teaching space with enthusiasm and commitment and cannot wait to help you all Rise!

Claire Dovey
Beginner Pole Instructor | @claire_theashes
Claire has been pole dancing for over 10 years, exploring a wide range of styles throughout her journey. Whilst she enjoys all aspects of pole, her passion lies in combining dynamic tricks with fluid movement!
Claire holds her Xpert pole 1&2 qualifications and is currently working towards levels 3&4 alongside working towards expanding her knowledge of flexibility training.
As she begins her journey as an instructor, Claire aims to create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves and grow.
Outside of pole Claire also trains calisthenics, and enjoys developing skills such as hand balance, and if that isn’t enough, she has recently taken up running - so a true fitness lover!
